1. The Sentence by Louise Erdrich (2021) – This read,
which takes place in a bookstore, asks what we owe to the living, to the dead,
to the reader, and to the book…. A funny ghost story along with a tale of
passion and a complex marriage, and of errors made along the way.
2. A Slow Fire Burning by Paula Hawkins (2021) – a literary
suspense novel combining some psychological menace along with social unease…a
murder and three women with connections to the victim… Shari La Pena fans will
discover a new favorite author!
3. If the Shoe Fits by Julie Murphy (2021) - #1 in a new
series! Imagine a beloved fairy tale filled with self-love and of believing in
the happy ending each and everyone us deserves.
4. Count the Ways by Joyce Maynard (2021) – Eleanor and Cam
meet at a crafts fair in Vermont in the mid-1970s and within a few years are
living on a New Hampshire farm with their three children….a story of home,
parenthood, love, heartbreak, hope and forgiveness reminding us that with great
sorrow comes great joy.
5. The Butler by Danielle Steel (2021) – Thank you to
our Danielle Steel provider again… another compelling, can not put down, quick
read! And a Parisian setting. You cannot go wrong!
With a visit to the library! We are open Mondays 10 – 1, Wednesdays 12- 4 and Saturdays 10 – 1.
Just a reminder… You are welcome to email us your requests and we will place your books in the Drop Box on my porch and you will be able to pick them at your convenience.
