Greetings from the Byron G Merrill in Rumney as we welcome June
with all its greenery,
spring flowers, and the promise
of beautiful days ahead... my very favorite month of the year!
Plus… We have several fun events planned which we think you will
enjoy!
#1 - Our Annual June Spring Fling returns on Saturday, June 11th from 9 until noon with live music, a huge book sale, plants for your gardens, baked goods, and a chance to just enjoy the day! Everything will take place outside in front of the museum... here's hoping for a perfect day!
- Our friend, Marilyn, will be overseeing the Book Sale and reports that we will have a huge assortment of fiction, non-fiction, and children's books to choose from and all sales are by donation...
- Sheila will have a large assortment of perennials, bushes from local gardens, for you to select from...
- The best of our Rumney bakers will supply us with all sorts of tempting goodies for you to select from...
- Jane will be manning the Summer Reading Table... Discover this year's theme and be the first to sign up for the fun which will be coming your way July 6th thru August 13th. We have activities planned for preschoolers, elementary students, and teens...
- Kathy Sobetzer, President of the Rumney Historical Society will be taking care of the Rumney Museum table with information about this year's programs which includes three Open Houses at the Museum and a tour of the Village…
- Interested in signing up for a library card which is good at our library and gives you access to downloadable books, magazines, and audios which you can access right from home! We will be here to get you started...

#2 You are invited
to Donuts with Dad on Saturday, June 18th from 10
until noon (while supplies last!). At 10:30 we will be having a
special story time in honor of Father's Day the following day. Stop in for a
story, a Father's Day craft project and, of course, Donuts!
#3 Summer Kick Off – Join us Wednesday, June 29th from 5 until 7 for a sweet treat, fun, and another chance to learn more about our Summer Reading Program. Of course, you can just stop in and check out a book or two!
