This Week at the Library... November 4-7 2020
Halloween has come and gone... fun to see our little goblins
having a good time....proud of the Moms and Dads who kept everyone safe. As we
welcome November, we are thankful for all that we have... in spite of difficult
times we are so fortunate to be living here in Rumney.
We
enjoyed seeing the folks who stopped by this past week. Just a reminder, you do
not need an appointment. We are counting noses and monitoring our numbers. You
may be asked to wait outside for a moment. Porch-side pickup is also
continuing... return your bag and we will refill it! Include a note if there is
a particular book you are looking for.
Agatha Christie Mysteries... This might be the perfect time to lose yourself in one of Ms Christie’s time proven ‘who dun its’! Thanks to a very special patron we have oodles of new titles on our shelves.
Our Travel the World display has attracted
quite a bit of attention. Each time I fall into a book about Provence or
Tuscany I am ready to go.... the views, the villages, the food! We also have
books and cds to help you learn French and Italian. Personally the app Duolingo
is a favorite of mine and it’s free!
This will be a week for us to catch up here at the library...
the type of week we need every now and then. Hope to see you and we always
welcome your suggestions!
