Upcoming Events: 

Each Monday morning in Merrill Hall we host our gaggle of young families from ten until noon. On sunny days the children enjoy outdoor fun with bikes, balls, and playing tag. Inside we have all sorts of fun things to play with and offer a story time and craft. Hope you can join us for some fun Family Time with other families.

This week is Children’s Book Week… the annual celebration of books for young people and the joy of reading. During this week, children will receive a free gently used book to keep each time they visit the library.

May 6^th is National Space Day celebrating all the advancements and achievements made in space exploration throughout the years. Get out your telescopes and explore the night sky and stop by the library this week, look at our astronomy books and see if you can name the planets in our solar system.

May 8^th is Mother’s Day, and we are here to help our little ones celebrate their moms. We will have story time with Susan whenever you come our way… The Mother’s Day Sandwich by Jillian Wynot… and we will learn how to make this sandwich just in time for next Sunday!

May 10^th is National Clean Your Room Day… nothing to add here!

And looking ahead… June 11^th from nine until noon will be our Spring Fling and we need some volunteers to help us set up and take down… We will be having a plant sale (let us know if you have plants to offer), a book sale (we especially need some children’s books donated), a bake sale (need donations and the items do not need to be individually wrapped), and several more surprises. We hope you will mark your calendar and lend a hand…crossing my fingers for a beautiful day!

Your library card entitles you to check out books (real, audio, and downloadable), DVDs, and puzzles. We invite you to stop in and see what we offer… Library hours are Mondays 9 – 1, Wednesdays 1 – 5, and Saturdays 10 – 1 and additional times when you see the flag out!
